About the college

J.K. Memorial College of Education is one of the leading Colleges in Haryana. It is situated in Barsana Mor, VPO – Birhi kalan, Teh.-Charkhi Dadri, Distt.- Charkhi Dadri (Haryana). It was established in September, 2006.

The JKM College of Education is run by Bigowa Education Society, Vill. Bigowa, which is well known for excellence in education field.

The Bigowa Education Society Bigowa Was established as per society registration act 1957 on 09-08-1994, registration no. 544/1994-95 to proliferate education in the area.

The society has a land measuring 13167.26 Sqr. mt. at its disposal. Besides excellence in academic results, the institute is committed to ensure all round development of the students in every sphere of life.

J.K. Memorial College of Education’s were established according to the provisions of NPE 2000 to provide academic and resource support at the grass-roots level for the success of the various strategies and programmes being undertaken in the areas of elementary and adult educations. J.K. Memorial College of Education are a part of a larger strategy to achieve national goals in the areas of elementary and adult education and function according to the needs of individual states and districts.

Pace-Setting Role
Pursuit of excellence would have to inform all activities of the J.K. Memorial College of Educations, in which context it will have two inter-related aspects :

• Excellence in the Institute own work, and
• Helping the elementary and adult educations systems in the district, in achieving excellence.

In this context, J.K. Memorial College of Educations will have a very important pace-setting role to play. They will be expected to become models for other educational institutions in the district in terms of meticulous, efficient and effective planning and execution of functions, harmonious and creative organizational climate, maintenance of a clean and attractive campus, etc.

Transactional Philosophy
A J.K. Memorial College of Education will have three main functions, viz.

• Training (both Pre-service and in-service)
• Resource support (extension/guidance, development of materials, aids, evaluations tools etc.)
• Action research
